A compressor nebulizer quotation should describe more than the plastic housing and mask shown in a photograph. The compressor, nebulizer kit, tubing, patient interface, filters and instructions form a working package, and each part affects how the facility will use and maintain it.
This checklist helps clinics and procurement teams in Uganda and South Sudan prepare a clearer equipment enquiry. Prescribing medication, dose and treatment frequency remains the responsibility of a qualified clinician; buyers should not infer clinical settings from marketing material.
Define the intended users and setting
Tell suppliers whether the unit is intended for a consultation room, ward, paediatric service or another approved setting. State the expected number of sessions and whether the unit will move between rooms. Ask the clinical lead to confirm which patient interfaces and nebulizer-kit type are appropriate for the planned service.
Exper lists the CNB-69005 medical compressor nebulizer with a medication cup, air tube, mouthpiece and adult and paediatric masks. Treat that list as the starting point for a written quotation and confirm the exact contents supplied.
Ask for performance information, not just “powerful”
Request the manufacturer's operating pressure and airflow, aerosol output rate, particle-size information, medication-cup capacity and residual volume where documented. Ask which test method and nebulizer kit apply to the figures. Have the clinical and biomedical teams decide whether the documented performance fits the intended service.
Also request the permitted operating time and rest period. “Compressor nebulizer” does not automatically mean continuous-duty operation. If several patients may need treatment in succession, state that workload before selecting a model.
List every included and replaceable part
- Compressor and approved power supply or cable.
- Nebulizer cup or kit, including caps and internal pieces.
- Air tubing and the correct connection at each end.
- Adult mask, paediatric mask and mouthpiece, as required.
- Air filters, filter cover and any supplied spares.
- Storage bag, manual and model-specific cleaning instructions.
Ask for part numbers, expected replacement intervals and current replacement availability. Accessories from different nebulizer models may look similar without being interchangeable. Do not accept an undocumented substitute simply because it fits the tubing.
For comparison, OMRON's official NE-C801 page separately lists the compressor, nebulizer kit, mouthpiece, tubing, filters, storage bag and manual. This illustrates why the package should be itemised; it does not mean Exper's listed unit has OMRON parts or specifications.
Check electricity, portability and noise
Request rated voltage, frequency, power consumption, plug type and electrical-safety information for the exact unit. Confirm whether it connects directly to mains power or uses an adapter, and whether any battery option is actually included. A compact device should not be assumed to operate during a power outage.
Ask for the unit's dimensions, weight, handle or carrying arrangement and documented noise level where available. If it will be shared between rooms, plan a clean, protected way to move and store the compressor and accessories.
Approve cleaning before buying
Obtain the model-specific instructions that distinguish parts to wash, disinfect, replace or only wipe. The facility's infection-prevention team should approve the workflow and products before equipment enters service. Never immerse the compressor or electrical parts unless the manufacturer explicitly permits it.
OMRON's cleaning instructions for one of its compressor models, for example, distinguish the washable nebulizer components from the main unit and air tube. Follow only the instructions for the model actually purchased; methods and compatible parts can differ.
Plan acceptance and ongoing support
At delivery, match the model and serial identity to the order, count accessories, inspect tubing and connectors, and have authorised staff complete the agreed functional checks. Record the supplied manuals, filter details and warranty. Our maintenance-records guide provides a simple structure for future checks and fault history.
